Sand and Sea Crochet Poncho
This Sand and Sea Crochet Poncho may very well be unlike any poncho you have ever seen. The unique crochet pattern makes a rectangular poncho, instead of a pointed or round poncho. The arm holes for this free crochet poncho pattern drape nicely due to the rectangular shape. You won't look or feel like a square when you wear this brown and blue topper. As the name suggests, the colors of this project are reminiscent of sandy beaches and clear blue water. If you're lucky to live close to the water, you can wear this poncho while you enjoy a day at the beach. Its versatile weight makes it work well in a variety of situations.

This is not an easy pattern. There are no good pictures that explain some of the steps. This should probably be listed as intermediate

How practical is this poncho? I love that it is essentially just a rectangle. Not only can it be used as a cover up / poncho, it can be used to spread out on the sand for a towel substitute in extreme cases as this is open weave. I love the design and simplicity.

I really like the prettiness and practicality of this Sand and Sea Poncho. The colors are perfect for a beach wrap and I can see it easily transforming into a light blanket when the sun goes down. The directions seem well written. There's even a video to get you started with the foundational chain. Time to go check out my yarn stash!

This Sand and Sea Crochet Poncho is very appropriate for a beach outing. This will look great over a two-piece bikini swim wear or a one-piece swim wear. The airiness and the sleeve length is just right for the very hot beach environment. You can also do this in a solid color or any color combination you prefer. Cheers!

This finished design looks so light and airy. This would be a great addition to a summer/spring wardrobe. Maybe if the piece was worked a little longer, it could be a beach coverup. I love the color selection here and it reminds me of the beach. Thank you for the free pattern.

Very nice job to the designer of this "Sand and Sea" crochet poncho. I would almost rather call it a topper versus a poncho. It is put together using two equal rectangles and sewn together at leaving a certain amount of chains un-joined for the neck opening. The colors are smart, the yarn used is CHEAP at the craft store and it is washable and dryable which is necessary when you have a piece of apparel. This would look equally smart in a spectator look.
