One of my granddaughters is crazy about emojis so I know shed really enjoy this pillow. What would be fun is to work up several and make them double sided. That way she could flip them to suit her mood! Im not crazy about using felt pieces for the features but it would be easy enough to create some crocheted versions.

Emojis change almost every day so crotcheting the eyes and mouth would be useless if you don't use them in a couple of months. i would suggest cutting some fabric or felt in the shapes like in the tutorial. Too bad we cant get the pattern for the pillow but its a wonderful idea for a gift.

True that new ones are always being added but there are a lot that stay the same.

The idea for this pillow can be found here http//craftychicsblog.blogspot.com/2016/05/emoji-p == illow.html . There is no pattern for shown for this because she got the pattern from a book and because of copyright laws cannot publish it. This would be so much cuter if the appliques for the eyes and mouth were crocheted also. It wouldnt be too hard for me to figure out a quick and simple pattern for them. So, youll either have to buy the book or make up your own pattern for the pillow.

Remember the heart shaped emojis that were posted for Valentine's Day? You can get ideas for features from them, too.

Now this pattern can be used to create any round pillow you desire, in any color you pick. Imagine many of these strewn across your sectional in colors that coordinate with your home decor. It is such an easy way to create a fresh, new look in no time at all. Change it up with the seasons, too. You could probably make a snowman face or a Santa face or even Rudolf! Everyone should learn how to make a basic round pillow. I don't have a Cricut so I guess I'd embroider the eyes and mouth on there- or I would make separate appliques and then sew them on.

I think if I make one I will have to put a sad face or an angry face on the other side. That way I can show how I am feeling on a certain day and people can get the hint before trying to talk to me. Warning posted ahead of time

This is ridiculous, but I love it. It helps that this is my favorite emoji. I might have to make one as a birthday gift.
