This is a beautiful bedspread. I see that in the directions the original was purchased at an estate sale and must have been in need of repair or completion. I must admit it had to be daunting task to create a motif based on just having the bedspread as a whole. The finished project is stunning.

This is stunning. Word to the wise, this project will be time consuming but if you have the time, it is worth it. My mother started a bedspread and never finished it. I picked up where she left off and I am so proud of the results. It took me over a year, but I love it.

I made it thru the the second round with the correct number of pc. The third round is not working. Directions read ch3, pc, dc ch1 sp,pc in next dc, dc in ch1 sp then ch2 , dc in next dc. Following these directions I come up with only 2 pc per when picture shows 3pc before the ch2 I think. Am I missing something?

This is beautiful. One question, how are the edges finished? Did you fill in the gaps between motifs with chained triangles? or make half motifs for the edges?

For those having trouble accessing the pattern: Click above on this page, the green link that says "Click Here for Crochet Pattern". This will bring up a page with two pictures: one of an individual motif, the other of a finished spread. Click on either of those pictures on that page. Provided you have Adobe Acrobat loaded on your computer, that should load the pattern PDF for you so you can see pictures AND instructions for making the spread. The instructions are for making an individual motif. As the spread was partly finished, I doubt they know how much thread it took to make the whole thing. Just make as many motifs as you need for the size you want (I suggest making one or two, measuring them and calculating how many you need). Hope this helps, this is a gorgeous pattern!

I have to say that rarely do I comment on patterns I come across. This afghan is the exception. It is so stunningly beautiful. Thank you for reinventing the pattern. I can say this is one that I will truly enjoy working on.

I cannot see where the pattern says how many motifs to make, how many to join across and down? This is a beautiful pattern.

This is absolutely gorgeous! I can't wait to try it! Might do a smaller version using yarn instead of cotton bedspread tho. thank you so much for your work on the pattern and sharing.

Clicked on picture, clicked on "Click Here for Pattern" - no pattern at all

@kat34, We were just able to access this pattern on our end without trouble. Please first click above where it says "Click here for crochet pattern." Once you are on the designer's website, please click one of the images to access the pattern. It is a PDF file and should automatically download. However, to open any PDF file you must have Adobe installed on your computer. This is free to download if you do not have it already. Hope this helps! --Editors of AllFreeCrochet

Hi Rustydip, The PDF seems to be coming up and printing fine on our end. It may be a setting on your printer or Adobe. Thanks! -Editors of AllFreeCrochet

do you make many circles and then sew them together for the bedspread?

I click the picture & get the PDF page but the words do not print... Only the pictures print. I tried it twice the no words, just pictures... There is a problem somewhere...

After you get to the 2 pictures, click on the picture of the one you want and then adobe acrobat will load with the pattern.

When you click on the "Click here for pattern" all you get is the picture of the individual square and the bedspread but no directions or pattern instructions. This is beautiful and I would love to make it but I need the pattern. Love your website.

click on a pic. its under there, same pattern for both

There is no pattern here. Only photos.
