Dolly Coat and Hat
"This coat and hat is sized to fit 18 inch dolls. The coat is worked flat in one piece before adding the sleeves to the stitches remaining in the armhole sections. The sleeves are crocheted directly on the coat itself. The hat is worked in continuous rounds from the top-down. The projects work up quickly and use regular medium weight 4 acrylic yarn. Darla (my daughter) has been asking me for clothes for her 18” doll so you may be seeing a few patterns this year! These clothes have been tried on the American Girl Dolls, Our Generation Dolls (modelling) and Darla’s doll which is the My Life as brand doll."

When I was a child, my sister kept my dollies all dressed up with clothes she would sew. My mother was the one that did crochet but I can not recall having any doll clothes in crochet. I have only one doll but not the 18" variety but I will save the pattern for if I do purchase a 18" doll.

My sister collected dolls and took the time to dress them at least seasonally as they were predominately displayed in the home. She owned the American Girl doll, Addy. She would have loved to have this to add to her collection.
