Im not interested in working up an entire pen cover, but I can definitely use pencil grips. How about modifying the idea for grips for your crochet hooks? I mostly have Boyes, and occasionally have one slip from my hands. Not a problem if Im at home and can easily retrieve it, but a royal pain when it lands between a car seat. I even dropped one in a plane and literally had to wait until everyone else got off so I could reach it.

I make something just like this for my daughter and her college friends, except I add a strap so they can wear them around their necks. Even the guys wear them ... college students need those pens handy. I also make a larger one to hold highlighters. The girls' have flowers sewn on them, the guys' are in team colors.

I really like this idea but I'm thinking about trying to cover some of my crochet hooks. Not sure if it'll work but I'll let you know. Wish me luck!

Hi BizzyGG! I covered some of my hooks by doing this, but I made a polymer clay base first that I baked on to my hooks. That way there was something for the crochet cover to attach to.
