Multi Piece Lap Blanket
Using this free crochet afghan pattern you can work up a Multi Piece Lap Blanket. This is great for those who like to work with smaller projects as this is made with four columns of five rectangles. You can easily take breaks instead of rushing to make your full blanket as a single piece. Bernat Softee Chunky yarn is used in multiple colors.
Crochet HookK/10.5 or 6.5 mm hook

This lapghan looks like fun! I am looking for some different lapghan patterns to make, just to have something to do, and I think this might make my list. My husband will be working a second job, so I will need a bunch of things to do to keep myself busy.

This project pretty much mimics sewing a quilt by using the strip method. Several individual blocks are sewn into a long strip and then the strips sewn together to form the quilt top. As with quilting, you can keep the blocks the same size or vary them to where you have both squares and rectangles. Coordinating colors is still recommended though.

I love this pattern. I love working with smaller projects because I do better at keeping the gauge consistent. It also reminds me of a crocheted quilt...and I am a huge quilt fan. I am not a very skilled crocheter, but this looks like something I could really make!

I watched the how to video of Heather sewing two panels together and finally I have seen the very best method for joining to pieces of crochet
