Crochet Wine Lid Coaster
“'Get away from my wine, fruit flies!' I say this every summer and fall when I get fruit flies or other little critters trying to get a sip of my wine. It’s hard to enjoy a glass when you look over and see something buzzing around or floating in there…completely ruins your relaxation. Well not anymore! Crochet this easy free wine lid pattern that easily fits on any standard size wine glass. Also doubles as a coaster! Very easy to follow, and you can make a whole set very quickly and keep the bugs out for good!"

What a great idea this Crochet Wine Lid Coaster is. I don't drink wine, but this would work great for my coffee cup as well. After reading the pattern, I don't under stand why you would cut the yarn after round 5 just to turn your work over and do another row? I would leave the yarn and just turn over after round 5 and continue with the pattern. Thank you for this nice and easy crochet wine lid coaster pattern.

This is a great idea! I use coasters all the time, but I never thought to flip one over and use it as a temporary lid. I usually just drape a napkin over top, but if Im outside, the slightest breeze blows it right off. You could work up this coaster lid in several different colors so everyone can easily identify their glass, too.
