The placemat being more of a square is the only downside to this nice patriotic kitchen decor. The pattern itself is very simple to understand if you have even a little bit of experience in increasing and decreasing rows/stitches. My mother decorates in patriotic decor year round and these would be perfect for her small kitchen table. Would be a nice gift!
