Cool Crochet Can Cozies
After a long work week, sometimes you just need to sit back with a cold drink in your hand. Don't let the summer heat get in the way by forcing you to suffer through a warm beverage; instead, work up one of these Cool Crochet Can Cozies. The fun spike stitch works well with these stripes, and the color theme can be adjusted to suit any occasion or group—red, white, and blue to celebrate a 4th of July party, camo to suit the hunting fans, or specific colors to support your local sports team. This is a great summer crochet pattern that you can make for all your friends and family, personalized exactly for their own enjoyment!

I know when the grand kids come around, they tend to open a pop and never finish it. That may not seem like anything to some but I call that being wasteful. I want to make one of these crochet can cozies for each of them that way I will know who is being wasteful. Kids need to know, waste not, want not.

While in a crowd, do you ever put your can down and then wonder which one is yours? Well, with one of these on your can, you will not have that problem ever again. Just slip this in your purse or back pocket when you know you may need to slip this on any can and all the worries will melt away. I love being able to personalize an every day object such as this.

I see the spike stitch being used on one of the can cozies. That stitch is a fairly new stitch that I myself learned, and I must say I think it is a ton of fun to work! If you are really into re-purposing and crafting, the aluminum cans that you use can be used as a storage can. Cut the top off the can! Store markers, pens, makeup brushes, paint brushes and more!

If youll look very closely, youll see that there are actually two different stitch patterns for these cozies. I personally like the Spike Stitch version myself, but if youre new to crochet, the Stripes will turn out just as nice. This is a great scrapbuster, too, because you can either use complimentary colors of yarn or just go crazy and see how it turns out!
