Betty's Marbled Oven Mitt
"This slender fit, marbled oven mitt or potholder is a great addition to any kitchen! It is very easy to work up, only using a single crochet and slip stitch. The material winds up being very thick, protecting the hands from warm (not hot!) pot and pan handles."

This is a fantastic way of making these oven mitts. By using a tight stitch and THREE strands of cotton at one time, youll get a lot of thickness. One tip I would suggest though. If you have NEVER worked a mitten before, mock up a practice one using just one strand of any old acrylic you have lying around. With this version, you start with the thumb, then proceed to the body of the mitten. Its easier to get your frustrations out with a single strand than wrestling with three.
