I have already earmarked this project for my senior ladies. They are always clamoring to make something useful during their crochet sessions. This is such an easy, repetitive pattern that I know theyll love it. At their ages, most of them dont want anything too challenging. Personally, I would start off with a Single Crochet Foundation instead of the chain and Row 1 Single Crochet as suggested.

As far as washcloths go, these are very nice. These would make an excellent addition to the spa baskets that I make and give out to new members of our neighborhood. They have a very spa like look to them and will get a great welcome gift. They look super simple to make also and the instructions are easy.
