Ombre Ripple Blanket
"Well, it all started a few weeks ago while yarn shopping at Michaels when I came across some beautiful colors from Lion Brands Vanna’s Choice line. I originally went in to grab one skein for another project but walked out with 7! I couldn’t resist these colors! I mean are they not just amazing? I knew they would look perfect as a ripple blanket with an ombre effect to it. (Ombre means “the gradual blending of one color hue to another, usually moving from light to dark.”) I started my blanket with white working 15 rows and decreased the number of rows I made with each color added. I really am in love with how it turned out and I hope you love it too!"

I love any ombre craft i can get my hands on. The ripple pattern once gave me a headache, but once you learn the secret in working the crest and troughs, you'll be making one for everyone this holiday. it seems like someone is getting yarn bombed this christmas.

The ripple blanket. A classic crochet stitch. I made a ripple stitch afghan when I was about 12. I entered it in the Lake County Fair. It was not nearly as nice as this one! It doesn't take much practice to mater this stitch. Something so soothing about this ombre colorway, too.
