Magical Mandala
Mandala is the Sanskrit word for 'circle,' so crocheted mandalas are typically crocheted circles that can be used as coasters, hot pads, wall decorations, dishcloths, and more. This multicolored Magical Mandala is a beautiful crochet pattern that's made using spike stitches and shells. It looks like a fairly easy crochet pattern to complete, but is actually an intricate crochet design. Use brightly colored yarn for a fun summer mandala, or darker, bold colors for fall and winter.

I love that this Magical Mandala uses the Lily Sugar 'n Cream cotton yarn. Included in the pattern instructions are sizes for doilies or coasters, and a bigger placemat or centerpiece size. I would love to see this on a kitchen table with a colorful bowl of fruit perched on top. I think I may go to Michael's today to get my supplies- to make it exactly as pictured!

I really love this pattern! These colors are beautiful, but I can see how easily I can customize this to match friend's kitchen decors for future gifts. Thanks for sharing this one.
