What a great pattern! I am amazed by how many unique patterns there are for something so simple. I am looking for different things to make to decorate my new house, and I think I will make some of these! They remind me of hanging beads, which I used to have and love! I think these would be so much better, because they would be quiet.

This is a great idea. Beads could be added to the crochet to give it some weight and to act as a hold down. Not really sure if these qualify as a true curtain but more like a decorative covering or doorway accent. Very retro and reminiscent of the beaded curtains used in doorways.

Aran is a weight...do a browser search for aran yarn and you will get several answers. Apparently it's thicker than worsted weight but thinner than bulky. Hope this helps.

when you say medium weight/worsted weight and Aran --- I do not know what the Aran means? I see it often in patterns, but I do not see it on packages of yarn. Thanks.

I really think that is a pritty cool Idea, and I have seen a version of that same type of Cirtain before with a Chain swag in pale browns, golds, whites, and silvers. Though it was for a triangle window, and looked like the inside of Butterfly wings folded up. You could see through it, and was very simple. It was done by the Scrupple Queen Silver Kosh, and James Watson. Anyways Thank You for some great Ideas. Susan from Spokane, Wa
