Hearts Pillow Cover/Sham
"Here's a super cute project to make and display in your home for the month of February. This Hearts Pillow Cover/Sham is made using the C2C (Corner-2-Corner) method of Crocheting. I used Red Heart Super Saver yarn in pink, red and white and a 5.0mm hook. The back panel is completed in one solid color. I used HDC stitches, instead of DC stitches. This will fit a standard-sized pillow. The graph and pattern instructions are included on my blog. I hope you will enjoy this pattern as much as I do."

Yarn Weight(4) Medium Weight/Worsted Weight and Aran (16-20 stitches to 4 inches)
Crochet GaugeI did not gauge this project.

I know most people pretty much only associate hearts with Valentines Day, but if youre familiar at all with country dcor, hearts are everywhere! Thats what makes this wonderful pillow so versatile. The graph is easy to read, and the Corner to Corner (C2C) technique reminds me of hobnail glass, another country dcor favorite. If Im going to spend time, effort and yarn on something, I want to display it as much as I can!

This is very cute. I have never done the C to C thing. But after crocheting for 50 years, I think it's about time. If it works out, I want to make another like this, using black and white yarn and turning it upside down to look like a spade playing card. It would go into the den!
