Crochet this Letter Board
"Using all dollar store materials, you can create this letter board for less than $15. I found a set of wooden 1-inch letters from the dollar store, put a tiny piece of velcro on the back of each letter, crocheted a square piece of fabric that fits the letter board exactly. The velcro on the back of each letter clings onto the crocheted fabric which helps them stay in place. This craft makes for great and creative Instagram photos."

I would have loved to have this in my classroom as a teacher. When my students needed to conference with me they would write there names on the board and I could get to them during the day as it was scheduled. This would have been much more attractive by giving each student a symbol to use. They would have loved it and would have wanted to "conference" with the teacher by applying their symbol to the board.

This is one of those projects that I ask myself, "now why didn't I think of that?" I like to think I have it going on when it comes to being frugal and tidy. This is the perfect design for a home office like mine. My peeps are always at the door wanting to know if they can come in and now I can share that info daily without a lot of wear and tear on my nerves. I love this. Thanks for sharing and providing all the tips to make it go easier.

This is a really clever crochet craft! Not too many places use those letter boards anymoreIm pretty sure my doctors office still does. I applaud the designers use of inexpensive, i.e. found materials, but why not go with the original plastic letters? Im sure theyre still available at an office supply or online. Less hassle than glueing Velcro to those wooden letters.

I see what you are saying about using the cling vinyl lettering instead, but I think maybe perhaps it might have something to do with a nice retro or classic look using the wooden lettering. It IS extra work, but the overall effect is something a little extra special. Neat idea!
