St. Patrick's Day Ruffle Garland
"This garland pattern can be fully customized. You can choose any colors that you associate with any holiday as well as standard colors that go with your decor or your child's room. There are so many ways you can use this garland: wrapping a holiday tree, lining the top of kitchen or laundry room cabinets, decorating a nursery, lining an archway or draping on the front of tables at a baby shower or bridal shower. You're only limited by your imagination! This pattern uses basic stitches and is easy to do. You can even adjust the length!"

This is an interesting twist (see what I did there?) on the standard Curly Cue project. The pattern calls for working 2 Double Crochets instead of 3 per stitch, AND you work both sides of the starting Foundation Chain. This double ruffle works well for this type of project, and I appreciate that the designer has suggestions for using this other times of the year. It would be tempting to make it longer, but I think I would have my hands full with the 8 foot length as is.

Wow, you could easily make a festive ruffle garland to celebrate every single holiday. I see her picture of her non-scratchy "burlap" garland, and it is sort of attached to the wall over a threshold archway. I wonder how she attached that to the wall? I hate to put up nails all over my walls, personally.
