This adorable Little Mitten Gift Card Holder is a great way to add a little handmade personalization to a simple gift card. It is great for the holidays and works up quickly so you can make several in one sitting. You can even hang it from your Christmas tree. This projects uses approximately 30 yards of worsted weight yarn. You can easily customize this project with any colors that you would like. This holder fits a standard size gift card or credit card.

This is so cute. I love making little items like this to add to the tree. I have a bunch of different shapes. This would be great for the grand kids. I put dollar bills in them and embroidered their names on each one. They get a kick out of searching the tree to find them.

This is adorable. I love that the same loop that closes the top of the mitten can also be used as an ornament hanger once the gift is opened. If you can find any stray novelty buttons they would be cute in place of the plain one used in the illustration. They dont even necessarily need to be holiday themed either. So glad to find this project!

This is so cute. Love the white. It looks like winter and Christmas. This would work as a gift card holder and also as a Christmas tree ornament.

What a fun holiday project to work on while I am watching tv at night. I can see so many uses for this mitten. Not only is this an adorable gift card holder, but of course you can add your choice of ribbon (string it through an open space in between stitches) and hang it on your tree! A quick and inexpensive gift idea for all those teachers (there can be LOTS of them in middle school and high school) would be to fill each mitten with individually wrapped Christmas candy!
