I love slouchy hats. They are perfect to throw on when your hair just won't behave. I love the buttoning band on this hat. It is cute and gives it a different look compared to typical ribbed band. And I think the band looks great with the pattern and texture of the body, and ribbing might have looked like too much texture.

Wow what a beautiful hat this Yenni Slouch Hat is! After reading the written pattern I almost flipped when I seen there are 85 rows in this hat. I hope that is because it uses a #3 yarn? I haven't made this one yet, but so want to. I have a friend who wants a slouch ponytail hat and I think because of the way this one is done it would work out great.. I will take note with what ams1948 below said about the gauge of this pattern and will use a larger hook.. Thank you so much for this free crochet pattern.

I am pretty sure the reason this hat has so many rows is because the body is worked from the side

this was a fun pattern but it turned out smaller than it was supposed to. Gauge checked out so I would use a larger needle next time or go up a size.
