What an adorable hat for the little ones. It is wonderful that the directions come so that this can be made in more than one size. I really like that the designer incorporated real "seeds" in the design. That was very thoughtful and shows a unique design element to the hat.

Is is almost summer time and I can see a few heads adorned with this cute little crochet watermelon hat. Around our house, not a week goes by during the summer that we will not have watermelon in the house. It is such a refreshing treat and I have found a lot of recipes to stretch out how we eat it. Now we can celebrate this wonderful summer fruit with a hat too.

I cannot believe this pattern is available in sizes all the way to teen! How fun for sisters to have matching watermelon hats for a family photo op or for summer vacation or that family barbecue! I've never crocheted with beading built right into my project, so that would be new to me. But it sure adds a nice finishing touch!

This perky little hat will be just the thing to match some sandals Im working on. I already have some fruity booties, but needed something else for summer. The designer adds the black pony bead seeds after the hat is completed, but it wouldnt be that hard to string them on the yarn before working the pattern. Im all for saving extra steps!
