I love this because of the amount of yarn needed to make it. I am always on the hunt for a bargain and a one skein project is just that. For projects like this I can splurge on the type of yarn because it only requires one. This gives me the chance to use some the more expensive yarn and not really feel guilty about it.

I think the way that the hat is shown is just perfect. It is not a full on beanie but it has just a little bit of slouch to make it casual and cool. It uses double crochets, chains, and skips- so this will be a piece of cake for just about all of us! What a great scarlet red color, as well.

This is one of those versatile projects where the pattern remains the same but the hook size changes depending on what size hat you want to make. Youll need to decide from the start as this hat is worked from the bottom up. When you get into the body of the hat, you can make it beanie style or keep going and make it more of a slouchy style. Best of all, this is a unisex pattern, too.
