Tightrope
"Tightrope Headband By The Firefly Hook The title of this piece celebrates the adventure of marriage. The song “Tightrope” in The Greatest Showman reminds me of the relationship I have with my husband. I’d go with him anywhere –even out on a tightrope –so long as he is by my side. We’ve had many adventures and mis-adventures over the years, but we’ve weathered it all because we’ve stayed together. So this headband is a celebration of taking different strands of a life, sewing them together as one, and enjoying the unified whole. Materials This yarn was purchased from an indie dyer in San Francisco California while my photographer was on a trip visiting a friend. The yarn is a 3-ply fingering weight. Each hat used approx. 50g of yarn. This would be a fun stash-diving project or a great opportunity to buy a delicious skein of yarn at a farmer’s market or craft fair. If you need a solid suggestion – I highly recommend Malarbigo Finito or Mechita. Yarn: Hand dyed fingering weight yarn in two colors. Or preferred yarn in any weight from 1 – 4 (fingering, sock, DK, worsted). Hook: 3.75 mm (or size needed for yarn choice) Pattern Info Gauge: Unimportant because stitches and chains should equal preferred length per size. Sizes: Baby 15” circ.; Toddler 17” circ.; Child 19” circ.; Adult 20” circ."
