I like this hat. It is very similar to one of my own designs. It is quick and simple to make. I like the band that is added around the bottom. It gives it the look of a toque that has been turned up. The big messy style pompom is cute. Very unique. When sewing your short seam, working in the front loops of one edge and the back loops of the other edge will give you a more seamless look.

This is a cute hat pattern, but since the yarn weight wasn't specified I looked it up. The designer used Moda Vera Beetle cotton yarn, which is a DK or light worsted weight 3. So if you want to follow the pattern you will need to use a similar weight yarn.
