Sweetly Serene Hat
"This hat was designed with a very specific purpose in mind - the Newborn PURPLE version was created for the CLICK for Babies Campaign to educate new parents and communities about the Period of PURPLE crying many newborns experience. I decided to offer this pattern in a full-range of sizes because it will make the perfect hat for your charity crochet project - specifically for crochet for cancer projects. The Sweetly Serene Hat has been designed to reach the base of the earlobe (which will cover the hairline), the stitches do not have wide spaces between them so you also have full coverage. It is lightweight and super soft to wear when made in the 24/7 cotton yarn and can be customized easily for solid colors, stripes or sections of color by changing the color you use on the 2-row repeat of stitches. You can easily add height or take height away from this hat and the hat and size measurements have been included in the pattern post to allow you to get the best fit possible. Stitch multiple and gauge information is also provided in the pattern. I hope this becomes one of your favorite Charity Crochet Hat Patterns!"

This hat looks so totally easy to make. Single crochets and cotton yarns. Cant get any better than that. The little model in the pics is cute as a button too. Bet shell be learning how to make her own hat soon. I think I was about 9 years old when my Mom first taught me how to crochet a chain. Lots of different color combos and sizes can be done with this versatile pattern.
