Sunset Striped Hat
"This Sunset Striped Hat was simply created with less than 1 skein of yarn. Furthermore, it is made from one rectangle that just need to be sown together on three sides. Add a pom-pom and your are ready to go. You can easily make this for any sized head. Also you can make this slouchy or non-slouchy. Totally up to you. This hat is more on the lighter side and does not way you down. You might not know you are wearing a hat that keeps you warm."

This is such a perfect hat for a Beginner. Ive taught patterns that start at the crown and work down, and from the band and work up. This method is even easier since you only need to work a rectangle long enough to accommodate the head circumference, and sew or stitch it together to form a tube. The beautiful ridges and stripes make themselves using the suggested yarn. Im saving this one for my youngest crafters!

You know, try and compare a hat like this to a similar machine crochet or knit hat in the store, and you'll pay at least $20 for it. Can I tell you that I would much rather make use of my abundant creativity and make this hat myself! I can have a one of a kind hat by using the yarn of my choice and choosing my pompom color. A slouchy beanie like this can be worn indoors as a fashion piece. It's not too hot like an outdoor hat.

Red Heart Unforgettable yarns have a texture all their own. The colors are very bright and cheerful with this variegated yarn. This hat is constructed using a different method than the stand top down or bottom up techniques. I have not used this technique before but it sounds pretty easy to do.
