My personal nickname for this quickie hat is the Funky Chunky. I made a bunch of them last winter and everyone just loved them. And it gave me an excuse to buy yet another hook! Despite looking more like a fashion statement, it actually does keep your head warm. Ive worked it in everything from regular bulky yarn to left over blanket yarn, and have been pleased every time.
