Pumpkin Spice Crochet Hat
Prepare for fall with a latte in your hand and a Pumpkin Spice Crochet Hat on your head. You can always use a little added warmth during chilly fall days, especially when you blend into the scenery and trees around you. The colors within the yarn create an attractive and well-fitting crochet beanie for you to work up and wear all season long. Make one for the whole family so that no one goes cold this year.

I can easily see why the designer wants to keep this lovely creation for herself. Its worked from the brim up, but not in the way you might expect. Instead of the band being worked separately, the band is integrated into the pattern itself. The ribs are formed using Front and Back Post Stitches as you work up to the body of the hat. If you want a slouchie version, she gives instructions for that, too.

She says that each skein of the yarn is 310 yards, and that after finishing the hat she still had another skein left. Does this mean that this small hat uses 310 yards of yarn? Hard to believe, but okay! For me, If I had that other skein left over, I would certainly work up a fast cowl OR (I just love these...) a pair of matching fingerless gloves! I'd make the hat more slouchy and add a pompom for flair! That should do it.
