Lucky Bowler Crochet Hat

This easy Lucky Bowler Crochet Hat is quick to work up and can be easily customized to showcase your favorite colors. Make a matching set for the whole family or just work up a few photo props for your little newborn. This hat starts with the magic ring, but then you just need to know single and half double crochet stitches to work this up.

Notes•Hat is started with a Magic Ring
•Starting chain does not count as a stitch
•Begin each round in the same stitch as your starting chain
•The end of each round is joined by slip stitching in the first hdc of the round, not the starting chain

Finishing the Edges of the Accent Band

With the top of the hat towards you and your working yarn on the inside of the hat, pull up a loop next to your first round of accent colored stitches. This is the round that was worked in the Front Loops only --- you will be making your slip stitches in the same space.

Slip stitch all the way around. When you get back to where you started, make an invisible join and fasten off.
Pull up a loop on the other side of the accent band, sl st around, make an invisible join and weave in ends.

This is a really cute hat pattern. I love that sizes are given from newborn on up to large adult - this helps because sometimes it can be hard to figure out what size hat to make. I like the surface crochet around the band of the hat, it makes it really stand out.
