This Lacy Shell Hat is very elegant as a result of the painstaking crochet done in shell stitches. The color used is not common. Very pleasant to the eyes.

The dress that is shown on the designers blog along with this hat worn by such a sweet little model make an ideal Sunday outfit for church. I found it too late for Easter or Mothers Day, but could be used as a Fathers Day outfit for Daddys favorite little girl.

This is a beautiful Lacy Shells Hat! The pattern is well written and this hat is perfect for summer with the pattern that has opening to let the air in. I find it hard to keep a hat on the little ones head, they say it's to hot. With this pattern I see they wearing it. I would like to make the hat and dress that is shown on the pattern page for my 5 year old grand daughter. Thank you so much for this free crochet pattern.

I love this hat it looks so simple yet elegant! If you pair it with the dress you have the perfect Easter outfit, a dress and a bonnet! I have not yet attempted to make any sort of dresses or sweaters they seem daunting to me. Sometime or another I am going to bite the bullet and make one.

This sweet little hat would look so cute on my toddler granddaughters. Im looking at the pattern, and although it says its advanced, Im not seeing any difficult stitches or sequences. Once you complete the crown of the hat, the rest is primarily shells until you get to the brim. Photos of the process would be a nice addition to havecan this be edited to include some?
