Knit-like Cable Hat
"This Knit-like Cable Hat is the definition of elegance and beauty. Having included 2 tutorials for the waistcoat stitch and the cable stitch makes the pattern creation a piece of cake. I love how the colors and the texture fit perfectly together. If you have been crocheting for a bit and know how to crochet the front post stitches you should be fine with this hat pattern. Try it out today! You will not regret it."

I so lost my mind trying to find the directions on how to make this Knit-Like-Cable Hat.. But after finely finding the pattern, I'm going to give it a try. There were so many adds, I had a hard time finding the pattern. I never did find her video on how to do the Waistcoat stitch. Not sure where it is? Did any one find the video on her page? I was hoping to learn how to do this. Oh well, when I have more time I'll come back to this. Thank you for sharing.

These clever designers continue to amaze me. I never would have thought to work a Tapestry design into the hat band, and using a Waistcoat Stitch to boot. I havent worked many projects using the Waistcoat, but I do know it creates a sturdy fabric with little stretch. Carrying along the yarn while working to the chart would also reinforce the band. And dont you love that fur pompon? Id make it detachable for laundering though.

This hat does have the look of a knitted hat. I love the color combination of the black and red yarns. This will be a great Valentines Day project. Colors could be changed up to pink and white or red and white. The faux fur pom-pom is the perfect touch to finish the hat.
