Half Double Crochet Beanie

"I have been meaning to write a Half Double Crochet (hdc) beanie pattern for some time now. You all seem to really like my Basic Beanie pattern which uses double crochet stitches so I thought you'd also like a hdc beanie pattern. I used the exact same worsted weight yarn (all hats were made from the same skein) for my samples because I wanted my measurements to be as accurate and consistent as possible. Please check your gauge before starting your own hat."

Crochet HookI/9 or 5.5 mm hook

Yarn Weight(4) Medium Weight/Worsted Weight and Aran (16-20 stitches to 4 inches)

Crochet Gauge16 hdc= 4" and 12 rows= 4"
