We get actual winter where I live (just had a 14 inch dump of snow overnight), so a double layered hat is not only nice, but necessary, especially when the winds are howling around your ears. This hat is not constructed as I initially thought since ONLY the brim is doubled, not the entire hat itself. It does make for a less bulky hat. Watch the included video to see what I mean.
