Cute and Easy Shiplap Slouch
Cover up a bad hair day or add a casual and laid-back vibe to your fall wardrobe when you crochet the Cute and Easy Shiplap Slouch. Don't be fooled by this easy crochet pattern's name, though, as this packs some serious style and includes row after row of an intricate pattern. The result is an item you'll love to wear while running errands or spending time with friends. In addition, this pattern uses the popular herringbone half double crochet stitch; new crocheters will enjoy the challenge, while more experienced crocheters will like practicing the stitch.

I see this slouch hat also has a matching cowl. Love they way they look together. Looks like an easy project but the finished product doesnt look like it was made from an easy pattern. Together than give a very put together look. Could be worn with almost any outfit.

I love the texture of this hat. It uses the Herringbone Half Double stitch, which I havent worked before. The author has a link to an instructional video at another blog, and it is well worth watching. This is also one instance where the hat must be worked in continuous rounds rather than joined. The author insists that this makes a difference in the hats appearance.
