Cozy Cabled Beanie

"I came up with the design for this hat many years ago after college when I had a lot of time on my hands before having my 3 lovely children. I had just learned how to make crochet cables and wanted to design a hat using them. I made up the pattern in my head and the kept making hats to give as Christmas gifts. Now it was time to actually write it down. The numbers in (parenthesis) at the end of each Round indicated the total number of stitches in that round. There will be 8 total cables, each with 5 twists. "

Crochet HookJ/10 or 6 mm hook

Yarn Weight(4) Medium Weight/Worsted Weight and Aran (16-20 stitches to 4 inches)

Crochet Gauge14 st x 10 ½ rows = 4” x 4” square

Stitch used to obtain gauge = Rounds 9-20

Finished SizeOne Size: approximately 9” long x 10” diameter
