I love this Chunky Pom Pom Hat! The written pattern is very easy to follow and if you get stuck there is a great video to help you step by step to make this must have hat. I'll be making a few of these that will go quick, I think the thing that will take the longest is making the pom pom. I can see this hat being stolen from one of my kids. I love the neutral colors of this hat! It makes this pom pom hat feel a little bit more adult than they sometimes look when they are made in super bright colors (although I like those too!).

These colors are terrific. This is a very bulky yarn so it doesnt take very long to make the hat portion of this project. The braided ties and the big pompom together take as long to make as the hat does. It turns out great though if you follow her instructions, then you should not have any problems.

Nine rounds??? Are you serious??? Ive worked with the Lion Hometown yarn before, but I didnt think it was that bulky. Nope, her instructional video clearly shows that shes using a #6 size yarn. I love how the wavy stripes stack on top of each other, and that huge pompon is perfect with this hat. Im keeping the earflaps, but Im not sure Id go that thick with the braids. Wonderful pattern nevertheless.
