Like the author, as soon as I saw that funky hat on Chloes head (and several other athletes, too), I knew it would be a hit. I looked on the official Olympic site, but couldnt find it there either. Glad to know its a Burton. Google search resulted in numerous patterns for this hat, but this is the closest crocheted version to the original knit that Ive found. Look at the side by side comparisons and decide for yourself.

Well, I will say that Chloe Kim's hat now lives on in our hearts. I have seen no less that four different versions of her ski hat floating around the internet. Each one has a slightly different take on the original Olympic gear. You just have to decide which one YOU like the best! Thanks for giving us these patterns.

This designer is just so talented. The Winter Olympics are still going on for a couple of more days and she has already designed and made a hat giving tribute to one of our own winners. What an awesome hat. Love the look of that bulky / chunky yarn. This will work up so easily and effortless.
