Celtic Winters Ear Warmer
"The color gradient of Lion Brand Scarfie yarn plus the elegant texture of the Celtic weave stitch make this ear warmer a quick and stunning piece! The Celtic Winters Ear Warmer takes less than one skein of Lion Brand Scarfie yarn and it also matches the Celtic Winters Cowl that I designed last year so you can make a nice matching set :) This pattern requires approx. 65 yds. of Lion Brand Scarfie yarn or a comparable bulky weight yarn. You will also need a 6.0mm crochet hook."
Crochet HookJ/10 or 6 mm hook
Yarn Weight(5) Bulky/Chunky (12-15 stitches for 4 inches)

Have you ever used the Loops Threads yarn from Michaels? There is one that is called "Barcelona". If you don't favor the Scarfie by Lion Brand, give the Barcelona a try. It works up very similar! They've got some pretty colorways in my opinion. It hovers between a 4 and a 5 weight.

I love making headbands and ear warmers! Theyre a great way to use up the ends of skeins, especially if theres another matching piece like gloves or a cowl. This project uses Scarfie yarna plus if you have some left over from another project. And DO work the first row as suggested. Ive found a great deal of difference in the amount of stretch when I use a Foundation Stitch versus a Chain.
