  1. Round 1: With Main Color - Ch 61, sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each chain across, bring the ends together and sl st in first sc to join (60)

This nicely versatile pattern is an opportunity for crafters to expand their skills. So my question is why stick with the Chain and Single Crochet to start the brim instead of offering the option of working a Foundation Single Crochet? I do like using Puff stitches in the brim for added texture, but wheres the explanation of the Puff Stitch?

I really like the look of this Celestial Crochet Hat. The written pattern here on this page is easy to follow and understand. I appreciate that there are different sizes already figured out for me. The stitch pattern with the puffy stitch is so nice looking on this hat. I can't wait to make one. Thank you so much for sharing this free crochet hat pattern.
