I love the versatility of this hat. The ribbing gives it a basic look that would be appropriate for either gender. Its worked flat, so its very easy to customize the length to fit an adult or a child. Ive worked up similarly ribbed hats, and they are some of the warmest Ive made. I love that tweed, too. If you cant find a yarn you like, you can always use two different strands together for a similar look.

We all need to have a reliable pattern for a unisex basic ribbed beanie in our repertoire. I like that it has a top that is not gathered and bunched up with extra bulk up top. It has clean lines and is simple. The tweed yarn used makes it look expensive! I would say, don't skimp on your yarn with this one.
