"This is a classic beanie with a lovely waffle stitch texture. I love the way the waffle stitch looks on the main part of the hat and opted to keep the band simple so it would not compete. I added a pompom, but of course you can leave it plain too. Mine is a beanie, but if you added a few more repeats you could make it a slouch. I included a child and adult size that covers a wider range of head sizes. These would make great holiday gifts for someone special!"

What a great looking hat this Alpine Nights Beanie is, I love it! After reading the written pattern I can see a few of these being made tonight watching tv. I love the stitch pattern. I think the most time consumer would be making the pom poms. I so want one in purples and reds. Thank you so much for sharing this free crochet pattern.
