Two things about this beanie struck me as unusual. First off, even though it has a brim, its worked from the top down. Secondly, the second body color extends down into the brim. What would be cool is if you could sort of dribble the first color down into the second so it looks like the top is melting. That would make an interesting novelty hat.

If you are looking for hats to make for your favorite charity, I believe that this particular pattern would be a great one for you! You have a great basic pattern, easy to work up, and a version with a pom and one without. You have an option to do a solid color or a contrasting color scheme as shown. I love this the look of this hat!
