9 Winter Crochet Hat Videos
I've been hearing on the news lately that this winter is going to be one of the worst winters in the Chicago-land area. I don't know if I can handle that; that means we're going to get multiple blizzards with 50 or so inches of snow! Knowing this ahead of time scares me, but it also gives me plenty of time to make some winter crochet hat patterns. Even though it's just a prediction, I'd rather be prepared.
I just love to crochet so much; I really do enjoy it and I now know why the rest of you do as well. Following crochet instructions can be tricky, especially for crochet hat patterns. Well, it can be at least for me anyway; I've tried two different patterns multiple times. While looking for some fun (and easy) hats, I came across these great tutorial videos to follow that I thought would be helpful to share with you. Whether you're just learning to crochet or you've been doing so for years, it never hurts to watch a nice video and refresh your skills. Look like they need to redo the into on this hat. it's talking about 2011 winter storms and this is now 2014. We are having some of the worst storms in the history of the USA. It would look nice to change the year if nothing else.

I am making the Easy Crochet Hat and have a couple questions. You say in the video to continue around with the dc until you get the # of rows you want. I am doing that but the hat isn't getting any smaller...it just looks like it is getting wider. Is this normal? My 2nd question is, how do I finish off when I am done with the dc rows? Thank You

I enoy listening and watching the videos, because I lean the new stitches, and new tricks, like how to tie it down..I would rather watch a video, and find it hard to read instructions, so keep the videos coming..I understand everyone is different for different reasons..This is just me.

I like the hats picyured but I cannot follow the videos. I prefer printed instructions. I realize the videos must be for "newbies" but they are tough to take for old folks like me who have been doing knitting and crochet since high school. I graduated in 1949. Thanks anyway. I really enjoy this site.

on instruction for the easy hat by drkaiser1963: When starting the double crochet row it is chain 2. Do you chain 2 after each row or is it one continuous round of double crochet like a pin wheel?

I believe that ch 2 is for the first double crochett. After chain 2, then dc all around.

I love these hat patterns but when it says"For written instructions and color idea's look at the link in description box'" I can't find that. I belong to a group that make warm clothing for children and hats are always popular. I always work from a pattern, someone else has done the science and I can just crochet. Not being able to get these hat patterns is driving me crazy! nove scotia girl
