Crocheted Bonnet For A Newborn Princess
"For this baby bonnet I was inspired by an old fashioned bonnet that I saw on the internet. It was just a simple, minimalistic crocheted hat. I decided to make my version, but with a lacy feel to it. I had an idea how this bonnet should look like. I found an elegant, repetitive pattern in one of my crochet pattern books. I chose one of my pink yarns I had in my stash - about 1/2 ball of a leftover from some project I did a while back."

This gorgeous project makes me want to start a campaign to make baby bonnets fashionable again. Other than at a christening, I cant remember the last time I saw a baby actually wearing one. This beautiful (and amazingly simple) pattern comes with an instructional video for both right and left handers, too. So no excuses! Even if you dont have a baby in your life right now, work some up to donate!
