Are you attending a baby shower soon? Then you'll want to make these adorable Crochet Thumbless Baby Mittens! This easy crochet pattern can be created in very little time.

From the blogger: "When you think of mittens, you would normally think of a glove-like item that has a spacing for your fingers and a separate space for your thumb. However, these are thumbless baby mittens that are very easy and fast to crochet. Both the right and left mittens are worked in the same pattern. These would make a sweet gift for someone who is expecting. You can also make variety of sizes so that the baby can continue to wear them as they grow. The sizes can be adjusted accordingly with the starting chain stitches. There are no set number of stitch counts involved for making different sizes. You just need to work in continuous rounds making increases in the last two stitches till you reach the size required. Materials Used:  Baby Soft wool and 4 mm crochet hook."

I'm making several for my new grandson, due any day!

Thumb less mittens are a great idea for tiny babies and newborns. Their fingers are so tiny and wiggly that it is almost impossible to get them into the correct finger holes with other types of gloves and mittens. Thumbless mittens are a classic baby item that you dont see very often today.

What an adorable pair of mittens. Not only are they pretty, and extremely easy to make, but they serve more than the purpose of keeping little precious hands warm, they also keep those finger nails from scratching their faces. My grand daughter did that a lot when she was a baby.
