"This is very cute little hat.this pattern is for 4 sizes, from newborn to 3 year old.you can make it in various colors. I have use dk(double knitting) yarn for this project, you will need 4.5 mm crochet hook. you can make this hat easily .it is a quick project you can make it in less than 1 hour. half double crochet is used to make this hat, stitches are close by with no holes and for edging front and back post is used."

Just love this little hat! Which is very odd because my mother used to make me wear one just like it and I hated it then )). Anyway it seems I am going through a phase of knitting little things - amigurumi animals, hats for preemie babies, baby shoes - so I may as well as this gorgeous little hat to the list!

This is a nice little hat, and despite the name, I actually prefer that its not a completely brimmed hat. I would start with a Magic Circle in lieu of the chain method, and thank you, thank you, thank you for including the stitch count at the end of the rounds. The alternating Front and Back Post Triples add a nice bit of texture and dimension to what would ordinarily be a plain hat. Love those big poms, too.

I am really looking forward to making this simple crochet hat, as I was looking for new projects with simple stitches. This looks like it fits the bill. One thing though....I don't see the instructions for the handmade pom pom for the top of the hats. Am I missing it? I printed out the hat instructions but I don't see the pom pom instructions. I am a crocheter that needs specific instructions for each step.

I love hats like this one for babies. It allows them to be fashionable, cute and warm. This a gris eat hat to make for babies to wear this winter.

This baby hat is super cute and of so very retro looking. It reminds me of the 1950's style ski hats that women (AND men!) used to wear. To make the hat bigger, in progressively bigger sizes, it is just an increase of a round or two, that is all! I would use a pom pom maker for a neater and more compact looking pom pom.
