Crochet Garden Cocoon
"There’s nothing so endearing as tiny babies folded into tiny positions. This adorable pea pod style snuggle sack will keep your little one all cozily wrapped up in those first few weeks. Forget the swaddle and slip baby into this cute newborn cocoon. It’s also perfect as a newborn photo prop. This cocoon comes in one size suitable for an average size Newborn under 2 weeks of age. It is designed for a very snug fit around the baby, and although it does have lots of stretch, it will not fit babies over 9 lbs. This pattern calls for Size 10.0mm (N/P) Crochet Hook and Super Bulky (6) yarn."

How endearing. Babies are the best and when they are this little you want to take oodles and oodles of pictures of them. This would make an adorable picture to send to all the friends and relatives if you are fortunate enough to capture your bundle of joy in a picture. These cocoons are just too adorable.

If you are even thinking about having a baby, now is the time to get started on this. During those first few months, you will want to get a picture of the little bundle of joy encased in the pea pod crochet outfit. They may dislike you when they are older and see this though.

This is so cute. Pea pod, cucumber, pickle and in yellow a banana or orange makes it a carrot. It's a very easy pattern. Anyone should be able to do it. I don't understand what a previous poster meant. I made one this size for my friends 6 pound newborn and she used it for a few months. It was winter and came in handy.she loved it.

This is just precious, but you really cant use it for anything other than a photo prop. Worked in green, it looks like a pickle, but in tan or light brown, it becomes a peanut. Not everyone has a newborn infant at hand, so Im thinking someones long suffering small dog or cat might fit the bill, too. A cute idea, but utterly impractical for every day.
