This simple stocking ornament looks just that, simple. I love simple projects like this, especially after working on several large projects the last few months. I would love to make a bunch of these for my coworkers and friends. You could use less traditional colors and make these unique to your own taste.

You cant find many projects as easy as this one. I love working the Star Stitch anyway, so I couldnt resist working this one up as soon as I spotted it. Although the designer doesnt specifically say to do so, I carried my alternating yarns along the edges. Since the stocking is worked flat and then folded and sewn before reversing, there wasnt any problem with seeing the carried yarns.
