A Granny Christmas Ornament is a great little gift to work up for the holiday season. Crochet Christmas ornaments can be worked up in traditional red and green colors or bold, bright colors for an "artsy" look. This is an easy crochet pattern that can be worked up in less than 30 minutes.

The initial photo of this project was confusing. Were these granny squares squished together, strung together, what? The actual instructions were even more confusing. Not the crochet part (pretty much everyone can do a granny), but the assembly. I understand attaching the squares to form a cube, but where does the square ornament come in? And why are yarn scraps inside the clear ornament?
