This is not really a pattern for a gold Christmas ornament. You have to have your own existing ornament! What this is, is an add-on embellishment to jazz it up. This is a truly vintage design. I remember these type of ornaments when I was a girl. A fun project to use up crochet thread scraps.

The pattern for this ornament cover calls for the use of Twilley's Goldfingering Crochet Thread. In my research, I find that this thread is not readily available at the yarn shops locally for me and more than likely most everyone will have to order it online. A good substitute would be to just use a #10 thread.

A very simple and basic flair that could be added to all of your non handmade ornaments. The instructions could really use a few extra pictures and some that show some of the steps in the progression of making this ornamental add on. Id like to try other colors also.
