Until a couple of years ago, we had half a dozen hens. Unfortunately, I hurt my back and was out of commission for a while. Sadly, we gave our hens to a good friend who had some property, but we miss the silly things every day. Im going to work some of these ornaments up for our tree this year to surprise my husband. He still complains about store bought eggs!

This is so cute and so easy, how can you not make it? I can't turn it down. It's very easy to make. I read the directions and it shouldn't take more than an hour to finish. And like the designer stated, you can make it into any bird that you like.

I'm trying to figure out how to make one to look like our speckled hen. We had several different breeds, all with different temperments and personalities.
